FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions About FIFA Cup™ 2026

When and where will the World Cup™ 2026 matches be held?

The tournament runs from June 11 to July 19, 2026. Matches will be spread across 16 host cities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The opening match will take place at the iconic Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, while the Grand Final is scheduled for MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey.

Official tickets are sold exclusively through the FIFA.com ticketing portal. Fans are encouraged to register their interest early on the FIFA website to receive updates on ticket draws and “First-Come, First-Served” sales phases. Avoid third-party resellers, as FIFA often implements strict digital ID requirements for entry.

While all 16 cities host Group Stage matches, the high-stakes knockout rounds (Round of 32 onwards) are primarily concentrated in the United States. Dallas, Los Angeles, and Atlanta will host significant later-stage matches, with the Semi-Finals held in Dallas and Atlanta, and the Bronze Final in Miami.

Because of the vast distances (e.g., Vancouver to Miami is over 3,000 miles), flying is the only practical option for most fans. To minimize travel, FIFA has grouped host cities into three regional hubs (East, Central, and West). We recommend booking your base of operations within one specific region to reduce “travel fatigue” and high domestic flight costs.

Each country maintains its own entry requirements. Most international travelers will need to ensure they have the correct documentation for all three nations if they plan to follow their team across borders. This may include a U.S. Visa or ESTA, a Canadian eTA, and Mexican tourist documentation. Always check official government travel sites at least 6 months before departure.
